Crown Defender currently operates as a free, non-prize practice leaderboard. The intended annual website-and-hosting skill challenge is not open until PageRank Kings publishes a complete dated rules card and opening announcement.
Scores submitted now do not qualify for a prize and do not reserve an entry in a future promotion.
Launch requirements for a future Annual Crown Challenge
Before a prize period opens, PageRank Kings must publish the following exact terms in one controlling rules document.
Dates and eligibility
Opening and closing date, time and time zone; eligible jurisdictions; minimum age; residency; exclusions for PageRank Kings workers, household members and promotion administrators.
Defined prize
Website scope, page or feature limits, design and content responsibilities, hosting term and limits, excluded third-party fees, delivery timing, approximate retail value and substitution terms.
Skill and scoring
Free entry method, permitted devices, scoring formula, anti-cheat checks, interruption handling, attempt limits if any, public nickname rules and an objective tie procedure.
Winner process
Verification deadline, contact attempts, eligibility affidavit and release where lawful, alternate-winner process, tax responsibility, publicity choice and a winner-list method.
Data and conduct
Why email is collected, retention, public leaderboard fields, separate marketing choice, prohibited automation or tampering, disqualification standards and dispute process.
Sponsor and law
Full sponsor identity and address, Connecticut governing-law terms, no-purchase statement and disclosures required for the jurisdictions actually included.
Current practice-board terms
- Participation is free; no purchase or payment improves a score.
- Submit only your own run and one private email you are authorized to use.
- The public board displays nickname, score, wave and date—not email.
- Automated play, altered clients, fabricated requests and abusive nicknames may be rejected.
- Availability is not guaranteed; maintenance, errors or abuse controls may reset or remove a practice score.
- Marketing consent is optional and separate from score administration.
No payment to win. Clear terms before entry.
The rules gate is designed around Connecticut consumer-protection rules for game promotions and federal guidance warning that legitimate prize promotions do not require payment to claim a prize.
